1. Overview of Calendar Buffers
We have introduced new buffer settings that allow coaches to manage gaps before and after different types of sessions. Buffers help ensure you have enough time between appointments.
You can now add buffers for:
Discovery sessions
Package sessions
External calendar events (synced from Google/Outlook/ICal)
These settings apply automatically once configured.
2. Discovery Session Duration Update
Previously, coaches selected the session duration directly inside the discovery call setup.
This option has been moved below, and once you scroll down, you'll be able to see "Define your discovery session duration".
From here, you can easily update your Discovery session duration.
3. New Buffer Settings Location
Buffers for all session types are now grouped under:
Calendar Settings → Client-related appointment booking → Buffer Settings
From here, you can set:
Before buffer
After buffer
These buffers will apply to:
Discovery sessions
Package sessions
External synced events
Example:
If you set a 15-minute before and after buffer, your calendar will automatically block 15 minutes before and after each session/event.
4. Availability Visibility on Calendar
To improve calendar performance, availability blocks are now hidden by default.
You can reveal them by selecting:
Show Availability on Calendar (checkbox)
When enabled:
Your set availability hours will appear on the calendar.
Availability will display buffer gaps between external events and sessions.
Example of what you will see:
15-minute gap between an external event and your next availability
15-minute pre/post buffers around discovery or package sessions
5. Buffers on Scheduled Sessions
Buffers will automatically apply to all scheduled events based on your settings.
For example:
Discovery call at 2:00 PM
Before buffer: 2:00–1:45 PM
After buffer: 2:00–2:15 PM
These blocked times will show on the calendar to prevent back-to-back bookings.
6. Creating Appointments: Option to Ignore Buffers
When manually creating a session, coaches now have an option to:
Include Buffers (default)
Ignore Buffers
If Include Buffers is selected, the system will apply all relevant buffers (including external event buffers).
If Ignore Buffers is selected, the session will be created without buffer gaps.
This gives coaches more flexibility in scheduling.

How to Reset Your Availability
If you have existing availability set up, we recommend resetting it so that the buffers can take effect and apply correctly to all events created on Delenta.
Step 1: Reset Your Availability
Go to Calendar Settings
Click Reset Availability
This will clear your previous availability settings.
Step 2: Recreate Your Availability Plans
After resetting, you must recreate your availability:
Go to Availability Plans
Click Create Availability Plan
Add your working days, hours, and rules
Save the plan
