This guide walks you through how to enable, start, and locate your session recordings and transcripts using Google Meet's integrated features.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Start Your Session from Delenta
Navigate to your Delenta and select Sessions.
Find your scheduled Google Meet session.
Click the Start Session button next to the meeting entry. This will automatically redirect you to Google Meet in a new browser tab.
Step 2: Join the Meeting
On the Google Meet pre-join screen, verify your audio and video settings.
Click Join Now to enter the call.
Step 3: Open Recording & Transcript Management
Once inside the call, look at the bottom control bar and click the More Options icon (three vertical dots).
From the popup menu, select Manage recording.
A panel will appear on the right side of your screen labeled Recording.
Step 4: Configure and Start the Recording & Transcript
In the right-hand panel, look under the options checkboxes.
Check the box that says Also start a transcript to ensure text transcription is captured alongside the video.
Click the blue Start recording button at the bottom of the panel.
A final confirmation prompt will appear stating: "Make sure everyone is ready". Click Start to officially begin. You will see a red "Recording" and "Transcribing" indicator appear at the top left of your meeting window.
Step 5: Locate Your Transcript After the Meeting
When your session concludes, hang up or end the meeting normally.
After a few minutes of processing time, Google will sync the files.
You can find the finalized transcript and recording file in:
Your Email: An automatic email notification containing links to the transcript and recording will be sent to your inbox.
Your AI note summary will generate back in your Delenta portal, using the transcript for Google Meet. Head back to your Sessions page and Notes page to see the session summary and insights.
Helpful Tips
Compliance Reminder: Always secure verbal or written consent from your client before hitting the record button, as recording without consent may violate privacy policies or local regulations.
Processing Delays: Don't panic if the transcript doesn't show up immediately in your calendar entry right after you close the tab. Depending on the length of your coaching session, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes for Google to compile and attach the text file.
