Client Checkout Workflows

Written by Namrata Raghunath

This guide standardizes Delenta’s client onboarding and checkout paths. To prevent confusion from the various package types and legal setups, these variables are isolated in the Global Building Blocks section below. The rest of the document details exactly what the client experiences step-by-step for each flow.

Part 1: Global Building Blocks

Before choosing a workflow, understand how Payment Types and Terms & Conditions inject themselves into the steps. These rules apply universally depending on how you configure the package.

A. Payment Permutations

When a client reaches a "Payment/Registration" step, they will see one of two variations:

  • For Free or Pre-paid Packages: The client only enters their Name and Email ID to register.

  • For Paid Packages: The client chooses their preferred Payment Plan option (if multiple are offered) and inputs their Credit Card/Payment details.

B. Contracts & T&C's

During registration, you can choose one of three ways to present legal agreements:

Standard T&Cs: A simple checkbox agreeing to Delenta's default terms.

Custom PDF T&Cs: A checkbox linking to your business's uploaded PDF terms.

Custom Contract: A formal document the client must read and agree to.

Part 2: The 3 Core Checkout Workflows

Flow 1: Register → Activate → Access Portal

Best for businesses that want clients fully set up in the platform, accounts secured, and terms signed before any scheduling happens.

Step 1: Client Registration & Payment

The client lands on the package registration page. They fill out their basic profile, choose a payment plan (if applicable), and agree to your T&Cs/Contract.

Step 2: Password Setup & Account Activation

The client is:

Prompted to activate your account-

Then asked to set up a secure password -

Simultaneously, an automated activation email is sent to verify their identity.

Step 3: Direct Portal Access

Once activated, the client bypasses the booking calendar and is routed straight into their dedicated client portal dashboard.

Flow 2: Book First → Continue Purchase/Registration

Best for maximizing conversions by capturing the client’s commitment (a specific date and time) before moving them through account creation.

Step 1: Session Booking

The client clicks your package link and goes directly to your live calendar. They select their desired date and time first.

Step 2: Registration, Payment & T&Cs

With the time slot locked, the client is immediately moved to the checkout screen to input their name, email, payment details (if a paid package), and agree to your T&Cs.

Step 3: Complete Remaining Onboarding

The client is prompted to access their client portal and set their password to finalize their account activation and secure their new portal.

Flow 3: Contract → Book → Optional Portal Access

Best for clients who would like to just book sessions with you but are not too keen on using the client portal.

Step 1: Client Registration & Payment

The client lands on the package registration page. They fill out their basic profile, choose a payment plan (if applicable), make a payment and agree to your T&Cs or in a the next step a Contract.

Step 2: Session Booking

Once the contract is successfully submitted, the system automatically unlocks the coach's calendar, allowing the client to book their session.

Step 3: Optional Portal Access

After completion, they are given an option to enter the client portal, but it is not mandatory to finish the checkout.
