This article will guide you through integrating your Apple Calendar (iCal) with Delenta for seamless scheduling and conflict checking.

Step-by-Step Connection Guide:

  1. Enable iCal Integration:

    • Navigate to your Coach Portal.

    • Go to the Integrations page.

    • Find the iCal option and click the toggle switch to enable it.

2. Enter Apple Calendar Credentials:

  • In the calendar settings, enter your iCloud Email and an App-Specific Password.

  • Click Connect.

Important Note: You must use an App-Specific Password, not your regular iCloud password, for this connection. App-specific passwords provide secure access for third-party applications.

  • Need to generate an App-Specific Password? Follow Apple's instructions here.

3. Select Calendars for Conflict Checking (Read):

  • Once successfully connected, a pop-up will display a list of your Apple Calendar folders.

  • From this list, select the calendar(s) you want Delenta to read from for checking your availability and conflicts.

4. Choose Calendar for Publishing Events (Write):

  • From the 'Publish Event To' dropdown menu, select the single calendar where you want Delenta to write new events..

Note: If you wish for Delenta to add events to your Apple Calendar, you must first designate your Apple Calendar as your primary calendar within Delenta's settings.

5. Save and Verify:

  • Once all your calendar settings are configured, click Save.

  • Navigate to your Delenta Calendar page to view your Apple Calendar events populated according to your new settings.

Key Information:

  • Single iCal Integration: Currently, Delenta supports integrating only one Apple Calendar (iCal) account at a time.

  • Multiple Calendar Sources: You can, however, connect your iCal account alongside multiple Google and Outlook calendars, allowing Delenta to read availability from all of them for comprehensive conflict checking.
